Overseeing the objectives and implementation of all commercial strategies at a national level, with a focus on technology, marketing and operations through to backline hire, warehousing, logistics and service for a future-proofed, efficient distribution business.
Facilitating efficiencies and processes to improve inter-team collaboration and all-round excellent levels of servicing for the Australis and CMI customer base, along with our valued international brand partners, to drive growth and financial targets for the cumulative business.
Heading the project of integrating CMI into a completely new IT hardware and software stack, fundamental changes in efficient business processes and an overall culture change from dictatorship to team. Efficiencies included reducing a 14-manual-step sales-order-to-dispatch-and-invoice process to 4, and automating 60% of all sales order processing in 12 months—equating to over 200,000 order lines through a newly implemented, live-integrated B2B platform, POS integration and EDI with partners such as JB Hi-Fi—alongside increasing daily warehouse dispatch capacity by 40%.
Motivating team members and creating a culture of inclusion, ideas and teamwork to achieve a complete change not only internally, but also in how the CMI business and staff were perceived in the market, with multiple large-market customers re-onboarding with an array of brands.
Constant business development through brand acquisition and corporate profile development following fundamental changes saw the group acquire 11 brands in 12 months, adding over $7m in new full-year revenue.
